Finally… Time is so long when FKM is not racing and I am sure we all would like to see him more often at the wheel… but that’s how it is, isn’t it! Finally this week, things become more serious as Franck is racing Petit Le Mans in Atlanta, USA.

It’s a very famous race in the little world of motor racing and Franck took off on Monday to meet his team mates and start preparing the race. He truly hopes to score a strong result this weekend and we won’t blame him for sure!

Franck has been working pretty hard on his fitness the past few weeks. As his fibula recovered he was then able to do some fitness work with his physio to be in a good shape for the end of the season. He also went very often in Vélizy, at the Peugeot factory, to work with his engineers… He was so impatient to race again… I mean, that’s what he likes, what his life is about.

So he flew on Monday to the US with his team mate, Stéphane. Then he had just a few meetings at the track but he also had some time off to recover from his journey and get used to the time difference. But you know him, he can’t just wait, doing nothing… so with the other Peugeot drivers, he decided to do some… go kart! Like children! But finally yesterday things got started at the track with the first free practice session.

FKM seems pretty satisfied so far. He thought the Peugeot car was going to suffer a little from the track conditions but it looked encouraging! The Audi have been working pretty hard the past few months and although they haven’t shown their full potential here yet, it’s still a good sign when Franck is optimistic!

Today’s program is about another free practice session then Quali on Friday and the race on Saturday 5:15 pm (GMT+1). It will be very intense for sure and we’re all pretty excited!

On the weather point of view things look a bit messy though. Franck mentioned they had 80% risk of rain for the race so we’ll have to wait and see. But one thing is 100% sure: FKM will be pushing no matter what the track conditions are!

Who said FKM didn’t have a revenge to take!
